Bob is a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and received his BS degree in Forest Resource Management from Iowa State University in 1979.
After graduation he worked for Huttig Sash and Door Company in Casper, Wyoming. Moving back to Iowa in 1984, Bob worked for the Worth and Lee County Conservation Boards, and for Blackmore Nursery in Mason City.
In 1989 he became the staff forester for Geode RC&D in Burlington, Iowa.
Since January 1, 2000 Bob has owned and operated Geode Forestry, Inc., located in Swedesburg, Iowa.
Gretchen is a native of Persia, Iowa and received her BS degree in Forest Resource Management from Iowa State University in 1997.
Gretchen was first exposed to the wonders of trees while working on the Bear Creek Watershed project as an undergraduate research assistant in college. Since then, she has continued to promote the value of trees on our Iowa landscape and actively works to keep that resource healthy and productive.
In October 2001 Gretchen joined Geode Forestry Inc. in Swedesburg, Iowa as a private consulting forester. She enjoys meeting and working with forest landowners and helping them get to know their woodlands.
